A Night of Drinking

day three

ok so, i probably shouldn't have written a blog last night while at the bar... lol... whatever! i had to get the project done!! anyway this morning we went to the Louvre. I saw the Mona Lisa and it was better than i was expecting. A lot of people warned me that it was going to be dissapointing but i wasn't dissapointed at all, perhaps i just prepared myself...
i was more impressed with the architecture of the Louvre. we went really early and were one of the first few there. we had time to walk around the courtyard and it was such a calming and beautiful scene.
this evening a small group of us went to the Latin Quater for dinner. i was hoping that the roasted chicken i ordered would have been honey glazed but it came in a red sauce which was weird. i've spent so much money on food, i haven't bought anything other than food and i've already spent two hundred euro.
the electricity keeps going out on our floor because people keep popping the electrical sockets... (Pete, you'd be so busy here! =o) )
so tomorrow we're going to Moulin Rouge (hope i spelled that right) and possibly shopping!! YAY!!! i'll post pictures tomorrow... i would tonight but Scott is tired and wants the students out of his room so he can sleep... afterall it is almost two thirty here...
Beth i tried calling you today... =o( you didn't answer but i'll try again... it's a 000 area code!!!

hi everyone!!!! so sorry i haven't posted yet... yesterday i thought i was only going to take a nap for an hour... ten hours later... i woke up, went across the street and got some japanese food... today was awesome!!! it felt like a week but it was awesome!!! we went to Versailles and then Notre Dame. Versailles was absolutely beautiful!! it truly was amazing!! i loved the architecture and paintings!! Louis the fourteenth was extremely egotisitcal!! notre dame was beautiful as well, i spoke with a priest and asked him to say a prayer for uncle Dan. He said he would pray for him during mass!!! right now i'm across the street from the hotel at a bar named the peanut cafe!! it's a fun smokey bar and we're having a blast!!! love you and miss you all... i'll try to write soon again!!! xoxo

The Night Before Paris...

It was the Night Before Paris
And all through the house
Not a creature was stirring...

Wait a minute... don't I know that from somewhere? Hmm... it'll come to me. Anyway, it is the night before I leave for Paris and I will admit I'm a bit nervous. Go easy on me all you
"Psh"-ers and "You'll be fine"-ers (haha that second one totally didn't go.) I've never traveled outside the country and I'm just nervous. I know I'll be ok, it's just nerve wracking to go through the process of getting there.
I'm still nervous about the fact that I don't speak the language but I'll figure out how to get by. My mom got me a book on where to go while in Paris so hopefully it will steer me in the right direction.

I'm going to miss everyone so much! The only picture I'm bringing with me is of Liam and Callie =o) Sorry guys, but I think it'd be a little weird if while searching for money, pictures of all of my friends and family fall out of my wallet. =o) But I love you and I'm sure I'll be thinking of you while in Paris! I'll try to write down those thoughts... if they're favorable, perhaps I'll share them with you! haha ok it's 1:51 am I'm stalling!!
